What is L'Escouade?
L'Escouade is a French boxing club located in Montreal in the Plateau-Mont-Royal district to learn and improve its techniques in savate. The club is a member of Savate Canada and the Quebec Amateur Kickboxing Corporation, an organization recognized by the Government of Quebec.
The savate club L'Escouade was founded in September 2011 by Guillaume Mercure, Josh Murray and Tommy Pochat, senior students of Lilian Guicherd-Callin of the savate club AMF after deciding to withdraw from teaching. All instructors are certified by the Canadian Savate Federation.
In the meantime, the club is open to both beginners and athletes who want to compete provincially, nationally and internationally.
The courses are structured in an evolutionary way, that is to say that the instructor proposes basic exercises for the whole class by increasing the difficulty gradually. The goal is to satisfy both beginners and advanced students.
We participate in international and national competitions, events and seminars. We organize galas twice a year.
We do grades (blue, green, red, white and yellow gloves) at the end of each session or on request.
